The spatial composition is open plan on its main level, with a sleeping loft level deftly inserted into the steeply pitched roof.
The orchestration of the site uses the archetype of the client's childhood memory of multi-generational compounds in the southern family islands, arranged in pods like monopoly pieces for a type of communal living by her extended families. These compounds typically comprises living, kitchen and produce storage barn units sited in a triangular arrangement.
TAS has masterfully reinterpreted the concept and given it a modern vibe. The development has demonstrably withstood the test of time.
